Ways that I’m making my work sustainable…

Paints

I use Jackson’s acrylic paints which are formulated and manufactured in the UK using specified raw materials from suppliers who share their ethical principles. At both the formulation stage and during manufacture, Jackson’s strive to reduce their environmental impacts and this is achieved through continuous review. The manufacturing process involves no animal testing and all purchasing decisions are informed by Jackson's commitment to anti-slavery and outright objection to any form of child labour.

Inks

The inks I use are non-toxic and water soluble. This means that even though the inks are oil based and therefore provide vibrant long-lasting colour, I don’t have to use harmful solvents to clean my Lino.

Paper

I print onto card that is at least 80% recycled. This card is coloured without the use of chlorine and is made from 100% consumer waste.

Packaging

I package my prints using compostable plastic bags, sealed with compostable stickers. This is then wrapped in 100% recycled tissue paper made from ‘low grade’ (the greenest) consumer waste which I then hand paint. Finally it is placed inside a 100% recycled board-backed envelope.
